"I'm not really spiritual"

In the few weeks before Franke died, we spoke about death a bit. I asked him what he was expecting or hoping, what his fears might be. He was just so sad to leave his family. And he said, "I'm not really spiritual". Which I took to mean: we live, we die. I got it because I used to feel the same.
At Frank's funeral and reflecting afterwards, I realised that actually his whole life had been an expression of making every day count in all the ways he could as a human being.
This resonates so strongly for me because I am passionate about the capacity of humans and the breadth and depth we possess - to be anything! But mostly to be human, and our work here, our privilege and our pleasure if we let be, is to use all of the dimensions of experiencing life and bringing good things to others and the planet.
