I remember when I first qualified as an osteopath, I didn't really want to o inot the profession. We'd been messed around so much, put through the eductaion ringer - 7.5 yrs instead of 5 and confidence shredded - long story. Boring. Well, probably not boring; we sued Brookes Uni in the end.

Anyway, a friend of mine said tome at the time - " everyone has to work and for most people, most of the time, it's just a job. For us, we actiallu do love what we do, we have passion and purpose and yes, there will be days when it's just a job, but 95% it's not. That's pretty good numbers.

I registered the next day.

I have now been an osteo for 22 years and have run the practice I have now for 14 years.

I'm a bit more jaded, more tired... but in these weeks when it's just a job, I am gifted with shared moments with clients who allow themselves to let go in the space that I hold.

That is fckng huge. What a privilege. And I never stop being humble and feeling deeply privileged by the work I do.

And when I need it most, my patients show up and show me more gratitude and presence than ever. And I remember my passion and purpose.

What do you love about your work?

what makes you feel grateful?

When is it just a job?
